Chris leads the computational work in the lab, applying single-cell multiome analysis and machine learning to identify the chromatin changes that precede cell-fate decisions. Chris is co-mentored between Barisic and Mason Labs, with primary appointment in Barisic Lab since July 2026.

Sonia is working on understaning how SWI/SNF remodelers interacts with the 3D genome, trying to decipher their role in organizing topologically associating domains and rewiring promoter-enhancer contacts. Sonia is the first hire of Barisic Lab and has joined the team in May 2024.

As a Research Technician, Tanishka supports the lab's work on how chromatin remodelers shape the three-dimensional folding of the genome, contributing to projects that map and perturb genome architecture across cell types. Tanishka has joined the Barisic Lab in August 2026.

Hao manages our mouse colony and runs the in vivo side of the lab, from breeding and genotyping to immunizations and tissue harvests. Hao brings deep experience with mouse models of germinal center biology and lymphoma. His work is shared between Coukos, Barisic and Zappasodi labs, with primary appointment in Coukos Lab.

Sravya studies how B cells take their first steps toward lymphoma, identifying the earliest clonal precursors of aggressive disease and testing whether chronic inflammation leaves a lasting epigenetic mark that pushes those cells further along. Sravya has joined Barisic Lab in September 2025.

Jiali works on the molecular function of CHD2, defining how this remodeler engages nucleosomes and what it does to chromatin at active genes, a question that matters because CHD2 is among the most frequently mutated genes in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Jiali has joined Barisic Lab in November 2024.
